La Paz
La Paz is Located in the Baja Penninsula off the Sea of Cortez. With
an International Airport, La Paz is only two hours away from Los Angeles by
air. From
Los Cabos Airport it takes about 3 hours by road. From Mazatlan you can
take the ferry across the Sea of Cortez. La Paz is very desertic, with
more than 300 sunny days per year, and less than 10 inches of rain per year.
The summer temperature can be as hot as 105 degrees, but the evening cool down
nicely. The winters are very comfortable in the mid 70's. The time zone
in the Baja is the same as Mountain Standard Time.
Diving
La Paz, and the Baja of California has some awesome diving opportunities. Many
sightings of Whale Sharks, Manta Ray's, and schooling Hammerheads have been
seen. September thru November is ideal time for seeing Whale Sharks and
Manta's. While the Hammerhead season is during the Spring when the water temperatures
are colder. The water temperature in the Spring can be as cold as 65 degrees,
and in the fall can be as warm as 90 degrees.
