Underwater Photograher Course

The PADI Underwater Photographer Course is designed to introduce you to the necessary techniques, knowledge, and skills used to take pictures underwater. Once you learn these basic techniques you will have the knowledge and skills to capture some of the most beautiful and awesome creatures in the world.

Prerequisites: U/W Photo students must be at least 12 years old and hold a hold a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent or higher.

The course starts with a clasroom session that is about 4 hours long, then a pool session that is about 2 hours in length, and finally 2 Open Water Div

In the classroom you will learn the basics of the camera operation, preparing the camera for the water, equipment care and maintanence, How to prevent flooding a camera and what to do if it does get flooded, etc.

Then we'll be off to the pool to practice taking photo's of different objects.

Finally its off to taking pictures in the open water. This can either be done here locally, or on your next dive vacation. A PADI instructor does not have to be with you while shooting your pictures in the open water. You may choose to purchase your own camera during the course, or we can provide you with one.
