Underwater Navigator Course
Eliminate those long surface swims to and from entry and exit points. The
PADI Underwater Navigator Course is designed to be an introduction to underwater
navigation using natural navigation (referance) and compass navigation.
Prerequisites: U/W Navigation students must be at least 12 years old and hold
a hold a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.
The course consists of one classroom session that can be completed easily
in one evening, and four Open Water Dives (3 Open Water Dives if you have completed
the Advanced Open Water Course). Colorado lakes are ideal for conducting this
course. Because normally there is a lower visibility
than in the ocean, it makes the course exciting and more challanging.
During the course you will learn how to use a compass underwater, different
navigational courses and patterns, distance measurement using kick cycles,
air consumption, and time.
Course fees:
$200
Note: All Abyss-Scuba students receive a 10% discount on any equipment
purchases (except sale items) made during their term as a student.
