Altitude Diver Course
Diving anywhere that is more than
1000 feet above sea level requires special altitude consideration.
The Altitude Diver Course is designed to help you develop the knowledge
and different techniques for diving at altitude.
Prerequisites: To become
an altitude specialty diver you must be at least 12 years old, and
hold at least an Open Water or Junior Open Water Certification or
equivalant.
The course consists of one classroom session with an instructor to go over
the High Altitude Slate and how diving affects your body differently at altitude.
Then you will make two open water dives at altitude. Thats all there
is to it!
You must supply your own diving gear for the open water dives, however if
you do not own your own gear, rental equipment is available at Abyss-Scuba.
Required materials not included in the course fee's are:
- Adventures in diving student kit
- Altitude Conversion Table
- Certification fee to process your C-Card
- One photo (passport-sized)

You will also receive a 10% discount on the purchase of any equipment during
your term as a Abyss-Scuba student.
