"Scuba Diver Course

Thinking of getting certified for an upcoming vacation, but don't have the time to put into a regular diver course? Now there's a quick and easy program designed especially for you!  This is your chance to slap on some fins, strap on a mask and experience an intense adventure in a short amount of time.  The Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry-level certification that's perfect for vacationers or people who only plan to dive a couple times a year.

As a subset of the Open Water Diver program, the Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimizing time constraints. With the Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher professional on your next vacation or dive trip. This program is a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and safety of having an experienced guide with you at all times. The knowledge and skills you learn in this program are just the beginning of an exciting array of courses and programs that await. With a Scuba Diver certification card, you will be able to obtain air fills, purchase or rent scuba equipment, and arrange for other services you may want while diving under supervision. After you complete the program, you may want to continue your dive education.  If so, it's easy to simply complete two additional Open Warer dives to gain your Open Water Diver certification.

During the course of the Scuba Diver program you will use the Open Water Diver Manual and Video or multimedia CD-ROM. Credit earned in this program can be applied toward the Open Water Diver certification.  The Open Water Diver course uses the same materials as the Scuba Diver course, so you're already on your way to continuing further dive adventures.

Prerequisites: Anyone age 15 or over qualifies for the Scuba Diver program. If you are between the ages of 10 and 14, a Junior Scuba Diver certification will be issued.  A Instructor will ask you to complete some paperwork, which includes a medical questionnaire, Liability Release, and a Safe Diving Practices Statement.  After your paperwork is complete and you have the necessary signatures, its time to dive!
